Final filming

Today, 5th January, we shot the scenes 4-7 which were:

- Rosy is sent upstairs
- Rosy looking around upstairs, finds picture
- Noises from downstairs
- Rosy finds Gwen tied up and injured

We had no difficulty in filming the shots but we realised that from our filming before we already had a shot of Gwen tied up so the only issue was, we had to try and make the lighting the same as the original shot. Unfortunately when watching the shots back, scene 4 was quite dark as i had to stand by the door which doesn't get much light to it. We changed scene 6, instead of me, Rosy, hearing noises of Gwen being killed, as we already shot a clip of her tied up, we thought of the idea to show me finding a knife with blood on it and images which recognised to be my mum. This makes the audience think back to the shot of Tom at the gravestone and think is there any link between the photograph and the gravestone?  Apart from these for errors, we successfully finished all of our filming . I then went back to the mac room and uploaded all of the video and put it all in the correct order ready to finish editing tomorrow. We need to add our sound and a few effects.

These are the props we used.

Pictures of a mother and two young girls. We used these so the audience knows there is more to the killing of Gwen and capturing of Rosy. They hint at a history between Tom and Rosy and keeps the audience wanting to know more.

We used the knife as it is a clear horror film convention. We also used it so the audience wanted to continue to watch the film and find out who used it and why it was there.

We used coat to link in with the title of the film 'Social Experiment'. Tom wears the coat and it makes him look like a mad scientist. It help create an uneasy feeling and the creepiness to the character.

We used the fake blood on this knife. When we first filmed our film in the dark, we thought although this is scary and more sicologially scary, we might need a few more conventions of horror to add to the scary effect. So we got some fake blood so it looked like Tom had already commited crimes and the place wasn't good news.
